The Empire Report – Tuesday, August 19, 2025 – Race Analysis

RACE 1 – (4) LADYCORONA hasn’t won in a while but she’s been a rock solid player in this class (especially the

past few weeks), and now gets a big barn and driver change for tonight – we’ll give her the narrow edge, but note

that she’s just 1 for 22 this year and her price is going to plummet tonight. (3) TOBAGO TIME comes into this off a

pair of powerful first over scores, and WOULD have been the heavy favorite if not for the presence of #4 – she may

offer some value tonight (even with that 8/5 ML price), and does have a real chance to take another. (2) STORMY

SERENA usually doesn’t race from off the pace so last week’s decent 4th was encouraging – she’s been very steady

at this level, and belongs in your exotics. (1) BOUT DAMN TIME A moves all the way inside and will be closer to

the action – definitely can land somewhere on the ticket. (5) DELITFULCATHERIN N was very sharp beating the

20s twice in July – she’s been too far back to really threaten since moving up to 30s, but definitely could outrace her

20-1 ML price tonight. (7) STAY HAPPY regressed badly for a few starts but had a nice wake up call last week –

would have listed her higher tonight if not for the awful draw. (8) WOODMERE HARRIET probably needs to be in

easier to be a serious threat. (6) BEANTOWN BABE has really tailed off – could use some class relief.

RACE 2 – (7) LINEMUP KNOCKMBACK dropped in for a tag, got Brennan on board and turned in her sharpest

effort in some time to win convincingly last week – gets a tough draw tonight, but also catches an “iffy” field – may

be able to take another. (4) FIGHT NOT FLIGHT is generally rock solid in this class, should appreciate getting

Holland back in the bike (after being re-claimed last start), and figures to have a big say tonight. (8) I LOVED HER

FIRST was well backed in 2 of her 7 starts (after changing hands) and was a blowout winner both times (including

one from Post 8) – if the $$ shows up tonight, you may want to give her a longer look! (2) GOT BEACH BODY

grabbed 3rd at a big price last week and has a chance for another small share tonight, with a bit of trip luck (6) SALE

EL SOL picked up (no threat) 2nds in her last 2 starts but she exits a very high % barn, draws poorly, and may find

herself too far back to be a serious threat tonight. (5) TYRA MAKES BANK hasn’t been finishing well enough but

she’s also endured some tough trips – ok for 3rd/4th. (3) AT THE HOP fits on her best effort but she’s been away for

nearly a month – risky, for sure. (1) FOREVER A FLIRT just seems overmatched, even with the good draw.

RACE 3 – (1) WINDSUN RICKY finished with alert pace from an impossible spot last week and now drops a bit

and draws the pole – he knows how to win races when in the right spot, and he may land on a good trip tonight. (3)

BENHOPE RULZ N has just 1 win this year but he’s raced very well in a bunch of his losses (including last week’s

2nd to the classy HEMSWORTH N) – his barn is going very strong right now, and this guy absolutely deserves a

serious look. (2) HAZEVILLE was used too hard early on last week then caught behind the leader he stung when

that one gave way – he’s capable of a winning effort vs. these types when in the right mood. (4) LOUS WORLD was

a powerful pocket winner 2 back but not at all into last week’s first over try – he seems capable of beating these with

the right journey...maybe he’ll get it tonight? (6) AMMO hit board in all 3 starts since returning from PA but he

draws poorly tonight, and seems destined for a smaller piece once more. (5) SAMHARA N drops a win off his card

after tonight – keep an eye for when he drops, NEXT week. (7) BOSTON BOUND has been stuck in impossible

spots for his 3 local tries and seems to have landed in another for tonight – another looking at class relief next start.

RACE 4 – (1) DWS DARLENE has been a solid performer ever since arriving her last spring, even if her win total

is a little on the lighter side– she has taken 2 of her last 3, though, and the expectation is that she’ll continue to thrive

after last week’s claim – deserves the nod from the pole. (6) DISTANT LOVER was simply 2nd best to #1 last time,

with no real excuses – if you think she can reverse that decision (for her new barn), her price will be a lot better this

week. (2) GINGER TREE LIZ was a nice trip 2nd off the re-claim last week, but has never been overly reliable for

this barn– she has a chance for sure, but also figures to be overbet. (4) UNCONTROLLED was “sneaky ok” coming

into her last so her perfect trip win (at 25-1) wasn’t all that surprising to us – she drops in for a tag tonight, and she’ll

pay a lot less if able to repeat against these. (7) COALFORDSNSHINE GB saw her 4 race winning streak ended last

week in a surprisingly dullish effort – she’ll need a big rebound to make amends tonight from all the way out here.

(5) YOU BEDA ROCK raced ok in her last pair – good bomb to use underneath. (3) ONDESERFULBEACH feels

like she’s tailed off...leaning towards others.

RACE 5 – Good race: (6) WATERFRONT flashed good pace at both ends of the mile in his local debut – he may

end up the best price of the main players, and that makes him worth a good look. (4) THEMASKEDCRUSADR N

lost all chance after a shuffle last week and was an ok 4th vs. a better field 2 back – if he has some gate speed, this

would be a good spot to find it. (5) BETTORS DESIRE was full of pace in his local debut once he found his stride

then cashed in on a perfect 2nd over trip last week – very legitimate chance to take another. (8) LENNON

HANOVER shipped in sharp from Tioga then was a good trip 2nd here last week – the obvious issue is the draw, but

a quick start would be a big equalizer (20-1 ML). Both (1) JMS BEST BET and (2) WAR NO MORE get major post

relief, and either could land somewhere in the exotics with an easy trip. (3) SETTHEWORLDONFIRE failed to fire

off an easy trip last week, and will need to be sharper for a chance tonight. (7) MASTEROFTHEHOUSE won his

local debut...then struggled in his next 6 Yonkers starts (and draws Post 7 tonight).

RACE 6 – (4) VICIOUS lived up to his name in his first local start last week, turning in a vicious effort to rally

from way back for the victory – he’s really upped his game since joining his current barn, and we’ll give him the

narrow edge over an equally sharp foe. (3) SLING SHOCK has been super in his 3 starts since the recent claim, and

surely earned the bump back up to 60s tonight– he’ll be making his presence felt in a big way, for sure (5)

QUALITY BUD was off to a terrible start 2 back but was full of pace at the wire – he mistakenly came out behind a

terrible flow in his last, but was full of pace once more when he hit the wire – he’s sneaky sharp, and could make

some late noise with some trip luck. (6) BOILING OAR took back to last from Post 8 in his last start but blasted

from Post 6 the start before that, and finished 2nd at huge odds...could it happen again? (1) BONDI SHAKE N had

no chance after a shuffle last week but has been very solid lately, and is just a good trip away from grabbing a piece

of this. (7) TWIN B DELUXE was a winner 2 back after a quick re-claim but came up a little short when 3rd last

week– he moves from one hot barn to another tonight, but it’s the draw that could slow him down some. (2)

LAMBORGHINI LOU was “ok” in his local debut – will continue to observe. (8) JMS FINAL TREASURE always

struggles with bad draws.

RACE 7 – (2) CAPTAIN MOORE A was already having some trouble last week when caught wide into the first

turn (thanks to a few leavers) but his chances were completely derailed by broken equipment (forcing him to grab

up, and pull up) – there are actually a few intriguing newcomers in here, but his local track record makes him worthy

of top billing, especially after these connections had three powerful winners on Monday night! (7) NO

TRESPASSING won over $100K and took a 1:51.1 mark at 2...he’s finally starting to hit on all cylinders at 3, and

could be a threat in his YR debut. (8) IKNOWBETTTER disappointed in his only local try but he was recently a

close 2nd (twice!) behind JAMAICAN ROCK A, and that one WON our Invitational last night – has to be worth

considering at that 20-1 ML price! (1) TH COLBY arrives with some solid recent form at PcD, and could be looking

at a good trip from the pole – ok for exotics. (4) BOOKEM DANNO held well after a first over battle last week –

chance to rally for a small piece, at a good price. (3) CURRYS FLURRY picked up back to back wins, but facing

easier – may find a few of these a little bit tougher. (5) LOCHLAN HANOVER has a win and a 2nd from his 2 local

tries but is another that may struggle a bit in this pretty strong field. (6) CAPTAIN FEAR is racing ok, but may need

to wait for a better spot.

RACE 8 – (2) RACING RAMPAGE won 8 of 13 local starts in 2024 but is just 1 for 14 so far in ’25 – to be fair,

he’s been close many times behind better than these, and he may have found a spot that he can handle. (6) AMERIC

AN DEALER has also been racing well without the benefit of a recent victory – tough draw, but still has to be given

lots of respect against this field. (5) WHATS STANLEY GOT A finished with good pace in his last pair, but does

move up another class – still willing to include him in exotics. (3) CADILLAC BAYAMA drops a bit, and could add

some value to the bottom of the ticket with some trip luck. (4) HELLABALOU hasn’t been “bad”, but he’s nowhere

close to the form that saw him win back to back Borgata Finals – small piece? (1) SIX DEGREES draws the pole for

a hot barn but may be pushing it a bit at this level – minor share? (7) COPPERFIELD was just “ok” when 3rd last

week from a similar spot – leaning more towards others. (8) ROCK THE BELLES gets stuck behind the 8 ball again.

RACE 9 – (1) NITE TIME DEAL has several excellent recent efforts, including a 31-1 upset from Post 7 three back

– her last wasn’t her best, but she moves to a new barn (off the claim), moves all the way inside, and we’ll give her

the narrow edge in the finale. (4) SAUBLE DELIGHTFUL has a trip of recent 2nds, all at big prices – she’s going to

get over the hump one of these nights...maybe tonight? (2) THATS A HUGE BEACH disappointed off the claim

last week but has several sharp recent miles, and shouldn’t be written off too quickly – worth a look if her price

creeps up a bit. (5) JENDEN STRIKE A threw an unexpected poor try last week, was claimed for $30K that night

and now drops to $20K for her new connections – way too fishy to endorse, especially at that absurd 4/5 ML price!

(7) JIVE DANCING A is capable with these when on her game, but she’d be hard to recommend off her last pair.

(8) DISARONNO HILL was ok off the easy trip last week but moves all the way outside and that figures to really

hurt. (3) ANNELIESE HANOVER disappoints way more often than she delivers – prefer others. (6) GRACEFUL

GALA tries to take on the 20s after struggling in most of her starts vs. easier.
