NAADA donates $5,000 between ACS and New Vocations
Both organizations will receive $2,500 each as part of NAADA's continued charitable efforts
The North American Amateur Drivers Association makes charitable contributions throughout the year, every year, to worthwhile causes both inside and outside of the industry:
NAADA’s VP Alan Schwartz, recommended a donation in the amount of $5,000 to be divided to two extremely worthy causes. Those donations will be made in equal amounts of $2,500 to the to the American Cancer Society (ACS) and our own New Vocations in NY, a Standardbred Transition Alliance (STA) entity. Both organizations are 501(c)(3) entities.
The work of both of these organizations is impactful because one supports groundbreaking scientific research, essential patient care and advocacy for public health policies. The ACS has been doing its good work since 1946. NAADA has once before donated to the ACS at the request of one of its drivers, Andrew Adamczyk in memory of his late father, who died at the hands of this horrible disease.
“While New Vocations has only been at its good works since 1992, it is recognized as a national leader in the rehabilitation, retraining and ultimate rehoming of horses to qualified and loving adopters”, said Joe Faraldo, NAADA President. New Vocations has transitioned 9,000 retired racehorses, both Thoroughbred and Standardbred, to date. NAADA is once again please to repeat its donation to this very, very worthwhile organization and hopes others will consider helping this worthwhile adoption program.
